Business Advisor · Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland

Bringing Māori and Pasifika ambition to life

You're the one holding the whole business together. Every decision runs through you, and you're stuck working in the business instead of on it. I work alongside you on what sits underneath, the direction, the systems, the numbers, so it can grow without depending on you being around.

No charge, no pitch, and no pressure to carry on. You'll walk away with a clear read on what to tackle first, whether or not we work together.

This is probably you if

  • Every decision still runs through you, and there's no clear plan for where it's heading
  • You've got sales coming in but can't say what's actually making money
  • You set your prices when you started and haven't touched them since
  • You know you should be marketing or chasing new work, but it never makes it to the top of the list
  • You've got people, or you need them, and half your week goes on things only you can do
  • Your systems are held together by you remembering things

What I do

01

Advisory and planning

Know how your business runs, what you should be charging, and what you're doing next.

  • A business plan and operating system you'll actually use
  • Know your numbers: what to charge, what it costs, and what you keep
  • A sounding board for the big decisions
02

Systems and processes

The business keeps running the week you're not in it.

  • Process mapping and clean-up
  • Tools, tech and workflow
  • Reporting and dashboards
  • Delivery and programme support
03

Grants, funding and bids

Funding you can actually win, and reporting that keeps it.

  • Funding strategy and pathway
  • Grant and fund applications
  • Tenders, bids and proposals
  • Reporting and accountability

How I work

Step one

Kōrero

Thirty minutes, no charge, no pitch. You tell me what's going on and I tell you what I'd look at first.

Step two

The right fit

I come back with which programme or piece of work suits, what's involved and what it costs. Agreed before anything starts.

Step three

The work

We work through it together at the pace we agreed. You get real outputs, not just conversations.

Step four

Review

We look at what's changed and decide whether it's done or whether there's a next piece.

In their words

I've advised over 100 Māori and Pasifika businesses

Since 2021 I've worked with owner-operators across Aotearoa on their numbers, their direction and the way their business runs. Before that I was one. I co-founded a hospitality business that hit $1 million in revenue in its first year and grew to three sites across Auckland.

I've made payroll on a bad month, priced things wrong and had to fix it, and learned most of this the expensive way.

Kaupapa

What I stand for

We walk alongside Māori and Pasifika business owners, turning ambition into sustainable, intergenerational success, and working toward thriving businesses building generational prosperity across Aotearoa.

Level Ground

We create level ground through curiosity, empathy and mutual respect. We meet people where they are, take time to understand their experiences and perspectives, and build equitable relationships.

Hands On

We approach every partnership with a shared sense of purpose. We do the work with you, because what gets built together is what actually gets used.

Intentional Candour

We do nothing by accident. We say what we mean and mean what we say, and we leave every business stronger than we found it.

Backing Potential

We believe in what people can become. We recognise their strengths, challenge them to grow and back them with the knowledge, tools and encouragement to move forward. As their capability grows, so does their power to shape what comes next.

Ako

Growth has no finish line. Being a good student matters as much as being a good teacher, so we hold ourselves to the same standard we set for the businesses we work with: one percent better, every day.

Have a kōrero. First one's on me.

Thirty minutes, no pitch. Tell me what's going on and I'll tell you what I'd look at first. If I'm not the right person, I'll point you to someone who is.
